My book came about as I woke during the night in May 2015 after having a stressful dream. In brief, I had travelled back in time and was distraught at not being able to return to my children. I lay awake for ages trying to decide how I would deal with this situation in reality. I felt driven to put pen to paper so I got up and went into the lounge and started to write.
The setting for my story is in beautiful Torbay, South Devon, where I have lived for many years. The bay, consisting of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay, is often referred to as The English Riviera.
The book opens with my heroine Felicity who is ready to enjoy the single life after recently divorcing. She joins a salsa class, where she meets the dashing Alexander and unexpectedly falls deeply in love . She discovers that Alexander lives in the house she has dreamt about for years and that there are also other unexplained connections between them both. They become engaged and life is wonderful for Felicity.
All this is about to change.
On summer solstice's night 2016, under a full moon, Felicity is thrust back into her eighteen year old self in the year 1987, at the time when her family first moved to the seaside resort of Torbay, in South Devon. All she has on her are her clothes, a photograph of herself and Alexander, and a key to his front door.
Can Felicity return to her own time or will she be trapped in 1987? If she can't return would she be strong enough to repeat her life with her ex, so that she can hold her son, Josh, once again? Could she change things along the way without consequences, and find her dear fiance, Alexander, as a young man?
